Washington, Aug 15, 2012 - Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Values Action Team leaders Representative Joe Pitts and Representative John Fleming released the following statement in response to today’s shooting at the Family Research Council’s office in Washington, D.C.:

“Our prayers today are with our friends at the Family Research Council, and we hope for a swift recovery for the wounded security guard. FRC has been steadfast in defense of the values and ideas that we and so many Americans hold dear. We hope the reports indicating a political motivation for this attack will be proven untrue, and we condemn this callous disregard for human life.”
